Casa Saltillo
Saltillo, Mexico
Private residence
Residential, multi-generational
The program called for a multi-generational vacation home for a Toronto family with roots in Mexico. The design is organized into three simple volumes, connected by a glazed vestibule and stair hall that bring light deep into the home and frame views of the surrounding landscape.
The upper volume houses the primary family bedrooms, accommodating daily life with young children, while the lower volumes are dedicated to an in-law suite and a caregiver’s suite. Through close collaboration, the design translates a family’s values, rhythms, and aspirations into a clear architectural language—crafting spaces that are both conceptually rigorous and carefully crafted around the way the family lives, gathers, and grows.
